School Rules and Procedures

All students have the right to a safe and secure school campus. For this reason, all schools in the State of Hawaii follow Chapter 19, which dictates the rules and consequences of student misbehavior.

In addition to Chapter 19, students must understand and follow the Kauluwela School Campus Procedures. Teachers review and discuss these rules periodically throughout the year to promote understanding of, respect for, and compliance with the rules. However, it is the responsibility of each student to know and follow each rule.

General Campus Procedures

Students are required to wear their ID badge daily.

Students will receive a new ID badge in the beginning of the year.

If a student misplaced/lost their ID badge, the first replacement will cost $2.50, then the cost will increase to $3.50, then $5.00 for any replacement after.

Before School –

School supervision is not available before 7:55 a.m.

If students arrive early, they are to sit quietly on the sidewalk area in front of their classrooms until their teacher opens the doors.

Once on campus in the morning, students may not leave campus alone.

Students may eat breakfast in the cafeteria; service begins at 7:15 a.m. Early arrivals must wait in front of the cafeteria entrance.
