Kimoch's
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are excited to share a wonderful program helping our students navigate big emotions: Kimochis (the Japanese word for "feelings").
Through a partnership with the Hawaii Department of Education (HIDOE), our teachers and support staff are receiving specialized training and tools to bring this program into our classrooms this school year.
What is Kimochis?
Kimochis uses plush characters, communication toolkits, and interactive lessons designed for preschool and elementary students. The program helps children:
- Name and understand complex emotions.
- Manage big feelings in positive ways.
- Communicate clearly, which reduces classroom disruptions.
Our Goal for Your Keiki
By equipping our educators with these tangible tools, we aim to build a deeply inclusive school culture. We want to ensure every single keiki feels safe, supported, and known.
