Sexual Violence Prevention

Second Step Curriculum

Description: Safe students learn better, and a strong school climate starts with prevention. The Second Step® Child Protection Unit for Early Learning through Grade 5 helps schools take a shared, proactive approach to child safety that centers student well-being and trust.

Through age-appropriate instruction, students learn to recognize unsafe situations, seek help, and assert boundaries, while adults align on consistent practices for recognizing concerns and responding appropriately. The result is a safer, more supportive environment and a clear, scalable child protection strategy.
